General Summary

Head Barista oversees and manages all aspects of the coffee bar in accordance with the vision and mission of Toby’s Estate Coffee.

 

Job Description

• Assume responsibility for all aspects of the coffee bar
• Be capable of completing all daily operations of the coffee bar
• Supervising staff to ensure exceptional customer service
• Ensuring high levels of quality is delievered throughout
• To be responsible for training new team members in both coffee and customer service
• Take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operations
• To adhere to all health and safety instructions and not to do anything that might endanger themselves or others

 

Qualification

• Excellent communication and teaching skills
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and staff management
• A high degree of ethics and obsession with customer service
• Excellent time management skills and ability to self-direct when necessary
• High level of organization
• Superior leadership capabilities; ability to work well within groups
• At least 3 (three) years of experience in specialty coffee and the coffee industry
• Be a model barista, both as far as bar skills, customer service and enthusiasm to share knowledge
• Detail-oriented
